The bottom-line of all the research we do here is TO LEAD. Our faculty, fellows, and students share a vision of making medical imaging close to perfect. Our research is genuine and grounf breaking, and we want our new students and members of the program to be as ambitious.
Cardiac MRI, or imaging of the heart with MR, encompass a wide range of research in our group. Imaging of the is very challenging, and hence intriguing from the research point of view. Our faculty members are some of the known leaders of this novel and attractive are of application. We are interested in developing new methods to image the function (mechanics) [Dr. Osman], viability (health) [Dr. Kraitchamn], and other characteristics of the heart. Maybe one of the biggest challenges is imaging the coronaries (blood vessels that feed the heart) [Dr. Stuber].
Like cardiac MRI and Interventional MRI. our group in spectroscopy is also one of the leading groups in the field [Dr. Bottomley]. This is another challenging field, especially when it is targeted toward the heart.
